Using 'Parameter Mapping' functionality

Using 'Parameter Mapping' functionality

Using 'Parameter Mapping' functionality:

Often times while working with test data, different nomenclature is used to refer to the same physical value. For example, 'Engine RPM' may be labelled as - 'engrpm', 'eng_rpm', 'rpm', 'eng_spd', 'engine_speed' etc. To ensure that such differences in nomenclature are addressed properly, it is necessary to establish an equivalency between the different nomenclature terms used to refer to one physical quantity. 'Parameter Mapping' functionality helps Users do this. Essentially with this functionality, Users are able to add aliases for common data parameters.

Establishing the above equivalency is necessary for using Analytical Templates & for importing Analysis Groups from other projects.
Note: To use the 'Parameter Mapping' functionality, Users must be assigned an 'Analyze' license.

To add parameter in alias:

1. In the left pane, click Data Analysis () icon.

2. From the Project List, select a project.

3. Click the Database tab.

4.Click on Parameter Mapping

5.Click on Edit Mapping () icon in front of alias.

6.Add parameters

7.Click on Save Button

To add a new alias:

1. In the left pane, click Data Analysis () icon.

2. From the Project List, select a project.

3. Click the Database tab.

4. Click on Parameter Mapping

5. Click on Add Mapping Button

6. Add Title and Click Keyboard Enter

7. Add parameters
