Dynamically Sampling Line Graphs

Dynamically Sampling Line Graphs

Dynamic Sampling of Line Graphs:

Dynamic Sampling enables Users to work with data without having to sample it separately. While plotting line graphs, StellarAi applies a basic sampling interval on the data and renders the graph based the total amount of data to be visualized w.r.t the amount of computing power available with the StellarAi server.

Once a line graph gets rendered, Users are able to drill down into a particular sector of the graph, which is re-plotted by StellarAi with a shorter sampling interval. Users can keep on drilling down on the data to the point where all the actual data points are rendered without any sampling.

To use Dynamic Sampling:

1. In the left pane, click on Data Analysis (icon

2. From the Project List, select a project.

3. On the Data Analysis tab, click Add Analysis button and Select Analysis Group

4. Select parameters

5. Click on Save Changes Button

6. Add files in Cycle

7. Scroll down to the default line graph displayed.

8. Click on Live checkbox

9. Below the Line graph, Dynamic Sampling Scale will be enabled:

Note: Dynamic Sampling Scale represents the total number of data points available in the selected data. In case the data to be visualized can be rendered without sampling, the Dynamic Sampling scale will appear grayed out, and the following prompt will be displayed: "Showing raw data, can not drill down any more*"

10. To drill down the selected data, hover on the scale over the desired start point, drag horizontally and drop at the desired end point. Click on Save button.
Note: Users can Reset the sampled graph using Reset Button
